Simplify Exercise

This is an excercise I did this morning trying to simplify from real life. The first image is an advert in a magazine. The second image is my attempt at sketching it realistically. The third is my 1st attempt at simplifying my "realistic" sketch. The fourth is my 2nd attempt at cartoon-izing the hand. And the final image was inked and colored in Flash CS3. Overall, I'm happy with the result and it was great practice.

Dusty Bunny

This piece was inspired by Illustration Friday's word "dusty" but I didn't get it finished in time to submit it there. But here it is anyhow. I've added my sketches and some of the inked elements separated.

This is an older drawing I did but I think it demonstrates this week's word well as long as it's in the context of being NOT focused.

IF - Confined

Digital illustration keeps me confined to my computer and to my house. But I love what I do so I'm not complaining! =)
